The SNI Group Hotel Development Programme (HDP) was set up on 24 August 2005 following the increasingly clear desire of the National Investment Corporation of Cameroon (SNI) to set up a single company (instead of the current five) to manage six out of the seven hotels in its portfolio. The advantage is not only the sharp reduction in management costs, but also the benefit of synergy effects, which are currently non-existent in several areas (marketing, purchasing, communication, etc.).
In this context, the role of the HDP is to steer the entire process leading to the establishment of this new single company with possibly domestic or foreign private partners.
The HDP is under the authority of a project manager and its implementation is supervised by a steering committee chaired by the SNI General Manager.
